Bacau Airport, which became an international airport in 1975, is located in the northeast of Romania. It is located 4.8 kilometers away from the city of Bacau. The airport, which gained a larger passenger terminal and modernized technical facilities with the renovation works completed in November 2017, is also one of the central bases of the Romanian Air Force. There are daily flights from the airport, which hosts international flights connecting European cities from Romania to many destinations, to many points especially Italy.
