Transportation to Airport from Chennai City Center

The distance between the city center of Chennai in India and Chennai International Airport is approximately 21 kilometers. You can cover this distance by taking a train, bus, taxi or by renting a car, in 50 minutes on average.

Train

Train is the most used means of transportation of Chennai, which is a large and crowded city. Trains depart every 5-6 minutes, and their period between the stops is 2 minutes. Four bus lines 13, 21, 99 and 501 are at your service on your way to the city center. Bus number 21 runs between 4:30 am and 11:45 pm. You can take the bus 13 to reach Chipset, bus 99 to go to Subhan and bus 501 to go Raqai part of the city. It takes about half an hour to reach the city center by all these bus lines.
