There are bus services that you can use to go to the Dammam King Fahd International Airport from the city center. If you want a more comfortable travel, you can get on a taxi. Another alternative is renting a car to go to the airport.

Taxi

You can easily find a taxi in the city center. Your hotel can also help you about this issue. Because there is no taximeter in the taxi, you should bargain and agree with the fare before you get on. The fare you will pay should be around 50-60 SAR. From Dammam city center, you can arrive at the airport in about half an hour by taxi.

Bus

If you prefer going to the airport by a public transportation vehicle, you can get on the bus from the bus station, which is very close to the city center. Bus ticket price is 12 SAR per person. It is possible to reach the airport in about 40 minutes by bus. Public transportation can be a good alternative for those coming from Al-Khobar and Al-Hasa. Once you have reached Dammam city center by bus, you can easily get to the airport by transferring from here.

Car Rental

Car rental is highly preferred by tourists since public transportation in Dammam can be generally distressful. In the city center you can see the offices of many car rental companies. If you wish, your hotel can also help you to rent a car. It is possible to arrive at the airport in half an hour with the car you rent. From the city center you must connect to King Fahd road and follow the airport sign boards.

Airport Information

Although the King Fahd International Airport, which is 20 km northeast of the city center, is at world standards, problems can sometimes emerge and long queues may occur in passport control. It is appropriate to arrange your arrival time to the airport in order not to be exposed to unexpected situations.

You can find bank, ATM and exchange bureau in the King Fahd Airport.

There is also a self-service restaurant as well as a great number of cafes and buffets selling snacks and drinks. There is no free Wi-Fi service throughout the airport but there are internet access tables at different points.

As well as duty free stores, shops where you can buy souvenirs, clothes and books offer service for passengers. For the smokers, there is a private indoor room within the airport.

There is a large mosque on the roof of the parking lot belonging to the King Fahd Airport and it is connected to the terminal with private bridges. All of these bridges are air-conditioned.

If you do not want to give up on your comfort, you can wait your flight in the VIP lounge at the outgoing passenger terminal. On the other hand, seminar and meeting halls are not available at the airport.

Transportation to Delhi City Center from Airport

Indira Gandhi Intl. Airport

Indira Gandhi International Airport is located 16 km from the New Delhi city center. Indira Gandhi International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the country. One of the easiest transportation alternatives to get to the city center from the airport is by using your hotel’s airport shuttle service. If your hotel does not provide an airport shuttle service then other methods of transportation include taxis, buses, or the metro.

The first thing we recommend you do when you land is exchange money into the local currency. We would recommend having local currency on you at all times. Taxi drivers or bus drivers tend to demand higher fares in foreign currency. If you have the local currency on hand you won’t face this problem.

Bus

The cheapest transportation alternative to get to the city center from the airport is by bus. Most buses depart every 30 minutes and provide transportation to major parts of the city, such as Connaught Palace and the Interstate Bus Terminal. Buses depart from the airport terminals and take about 50 minutes to get to the city center.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available at the arrivals section of the terminals and they provide convenient transportation to the city center. There are 3 taxi operators at the airport that charge based on the kilometers traveled, Meru Cabs, Mega Cabs, and Easy Cabs. There are also fixed-rate taxis that provide transportation to the city center. For these pre-paid taxis you pay the fare at the taxi office first and are given a receipt that you hand to the driver once you have reached your destination. After you’ve paid the fare at the taxi office ignore any requests for additional payment made by the driver. A taxi to the city center will cost around 200-400 rupee.

Metro

The most convenient method of transportation to get to the city center from the airport is by metro. The Airport Express metro line provides a quick commute to the city center, running every 3 minutes from the Airport Metro Station located at Terminal 3. A portion of this metro line runs above ground, giving you a brief tour of the city. The last stop on the metro linke in the city is the New Delhi Train Station. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the city center by metro and tickets can be purchased from ticket counters or automatic ticket issuing machines.
