The festival is closely monitored by the police due to safety precautions, creating a unique experience for attendees, who feel as if they are in the midst of a volcanic explosion.
In November, the Carnival of San Miguel, considered sacred by the people of El Salvador, features reggae, samba, funky, and merengue music by artists alongside street dancers, creating a lively performance display.
Pupusa, a popular dish in El Salvador, is a stuffed flatbread typically filled with cheese, beans, and meat, making it a flavorful and memorable culinary experience. Given that pupusas often contain pork, vegetarians can also find options to suit their preferences in the country's diverse cuisine.
