Busuanga, located in the Palawan region of the Philippines, is the municipality that constitutes one-third of the western side of Busuanga Island. As of 2020, the central area Salvaicon, is home to approximately 25,617 people and is situated 50 kilometers away from the neighboring city of Coron.
The region experiences two distinct climate types. The first is characterized by a seasonal pattern of 6 months dry and 6 months rainy, observed on the northern, southern, and western coasts. The second type, prevalent in the eastern part of the region, features 3 months dry and the remaining months rainy. March is considered the most suitable month for swimming. Despite the presence of 87 different cultural groups in the region, they coexist peacefully. The dominant cultures are influenced by those coming from China, India, Central Asia, as well as various regions within the Philippines.
