About Mambajao

Camiguin, which is located about 10 kilometers of the Northern Mindanao Region of Philippines, is the third largest city of the region in terms of its surface area and population, and is a part of Misamis Oriental province. In addition, about 83,000 people consisting of different ethnic groups live together in this city where English is commonly used. The city's economy is generally based on agricultural products (abaca, rice, etc.), fruit trees (mango) and tourism.

The Lanzones Festival, held every October, is celebrated by the Filipinos with the tropical fruits growing all over the city and entertaining activities continue for one week. The places to be visited in the city are; Camiguin Island, White Island, Mantigue Island, Katibawasan Falls, Mt Hibok-Hibok, Ardent Hot Springs, Sto. Nino Cold Spring and Tuasan Falls. In the city where transportation is very easy, a tropical climate is observed.
